The exercise routine that I had to share

Since finding this routine, I knew I had to share it with you (and everyone I know). After the first session I was literally bounding down the stairs to tell my husband all about. I burst into work that day and excitingly told my colleagues, I think I even told a random stranger at the shops! Yep, that’s HOW excited I was/am about finding a new routine that fits!

Ok I hear you! So what’s this new routine? Where’s the timetable? How can I book into a class?

Introducing…. ‘How about a quickie: Short, Sweet + Sweaty Workout’.

Wabi Sabi Well are the brains trust behind my new exercise routine. A unique fusion of mind, body movement, that brings together the very best bits of all the exercise routines I love. Think a little yoga, combined with some huffy puffy circuit and finished off with a juicy shavasana.

The term Wabi Sabi means to live life through the senses, to observe wisdom in nature and to recognise beauty in imperfection. It is about celebrating the cracks and flaws, the imperfect perfection in everything simply as it is. The Wabi Sabi approach to training is a holistic formula that brings together the best of many disciplines such as yoga, personal training, traditional fitness and meditation. Unlike other online (or even face to face) session what makes their approach truly unique is that it brings together head and heart.

Since having a baby, I’ve struggled to find an exercise routine that I can consistently fit around my lifestyle. A routine that challenges me, and leaves me feeling GREAT! A routine that fulfills my need to move my body, but to do it in a way that is gentle and energising. To be honest I’m done with the hard-core boot camp routines that leave me beetroot faced for hours after, and feeling as though I need a nanna nap just to get through the morning (I think we’ve all been to one of those types of classes).

What’s been really great is that I’ve found these sessions really easy to follow. I’ve been pushed just far enough before my body (and mind) are ready for a pause…and I’ve walked away from each session feeling stronger, clearer and calmer in the mind and body.

The benefit of being able to roll out my yoga mat (or plonk myself on the lounge room floor) has been one of the biggest wins for me. I can’t tell you how much calmer I feel knowing there is no more rushing to get out the door, no more fussing around with getting to a class on time, and no more wasted time stuck in traffic. These routines are done anywhere, anytime!

When it comes to finding an exercise routine that ‘fits’ I know I’m not alone in this struggle.
