This simple Chocolate Mousse has to be one of my favourite go-to dessert recipes when I feel like something sweet. Ready to serve in less than 10 minutes, it is the perfect Wholefoods treat.
Unlike store bought Chocolate Mousse which is filled with sugar, trans-fats and preservatives, my healthy Chocolate Mousse is packed full of beautiful Wholefoods. Cacao is high in iron, sulfur and magnesium and is also said to boost endorphins and seratonin…hello happy vibes. Avocado adds a deliciously creamy element and is filled with beautiful anti-inflammatory, mono-unsaturated fats which our skin, hair and nails LOVE!
So here’s to delicious desserts which are actually good for us!

1 ripe avocado
2 tablespoons of rice malt syrup or maple syrup
1 tablespoon cacao
1/2 teaspoon vanilla – optional
Place all ingredients into a blender (or you can use a hand blender) and blitz until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately topped with fresh berries, coconut flakes or cacao nibs. If you prefer the taste of chilled mousse place in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving.
